The Soldier Field 10 Mile is celebrating it’s 10th anniversary this year! This race not only starts and finishes at Soldier Field, but the finish line is actually at the 50 yard line of Soldier Field! Run where Urlacher, Marshall, Cutler, and Hester and all your favorite Bears players put it down; historic Soldier Field!
In 2012, over 12,000 runners participated in the Soldier Field 10 Mile, and being the 10 year anniversary, they are looking at a huge turnout! Race Day is historically the Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend, and this year is no exception with runners crossing the start line at 7am on May 25th. The course runs south from Soldier Field down Lakeshore Drive to Hyde Park and returns along the beautiful lakeshore path with views of the Chicago skyline.
Being just 2.5 blocks from the pedestrian walkway at 18th street to access Soldier Field, we’ve creating a package especially for runners and their families and friends. For just $129/night enjoy your accommodations just minuted from the starting line as well as complimentary self-parking (regularly $32/night). Sleep in on race day without the hassle of driving & parking. This rate will also be good all weekend long, so you could take advantage of this great rate and turn your overnight race trip to an extended staycation for Memorial Day Weekend!
