The Chicago Half Marathon is part of the official Chicago Marathon training schedule and run by 20,000 participants every year.  The race starts and finishes in historic Jackson Park on the near South side of Chicago, home to the beautiful Museum of Science and Industry.  The course runs through the park and along the lakefront trail to McCormick Place and back.

Over the years, we’ve noticed more and more runners choosing to stay with us the night before the big run, whether they are true out of towners needing overnight accommodations or just local suburbanites looking to sleep in a bit later on race day.  This year, we’ve gone ahead and discounted room rates for runners, families, and spectators!  You can enjoy either 20% off our daily rate by booking here.

Or click here and get free breakfast for 2 and self-parking included with your stay, that’s an $84/night value!

The choice is yours runners, but either package offers you a great savings on the best place to stay for the Chicago Half Marathon!

28786_10151786375689553_1971830264_nHydrocephalus is a medical condition where there is an abnormal amount of fluid accumulated in the skull.  This can create convulsions, tunnel vision, mental disabilities, and even death.  The Hyatt Regency McCormick Place is proud to partner with the Hydrocephalus Association, HA, and the 9th annual HA Walk to End Hydrocephalus.  The HA Walk will help to fund critical research to eliminate this chronic condition.  This year’s HA Walk takes place on Sunday, August 18th at 10am at Soldier Field.  Being just a couple blocks away from Soldier Field, we decided to offer a special discounted rate to anyone who needs a place to stay for the HA Walk.  Families, friends, fans, and walkers are all eligible for this discounted rate of just $119, a $40 savings from our rate of the day!  Hyatt is proud to work together with a great organization like the Hydrocephalus Association!

Did you know that women make up nearly half of all business travelers today?  This statistic might seem like a no-brainer since women make up 50% of the population, but until very recently, women did not travel for business nearly as much as their male counterparts.  Last year, Hyatt conducted an 18 month study on female travelers including analysis and over 40 facilitated group discussions around the world to try and determine what it is that these female travelers really want and how to cater to them.  Here at Hyatt Regency McCormick Place, we are proud to participate in some new offerings that were developed from the study that specifically cater to women’s ease comfort and satisfaction!182462_500316966672931_1224584605_n
